Regulations

Assisted Living – will it be classified a Commercial Building, Hospital or Residence?
States and local jurisdictions are constantly changing and adjusting the requirements for building and operating an assisted living facility. States have increased facility requirements and licensing standards. It is imperative to investigate these changes with each project. Some states provide the information very clearly while in other states it can be difficult to determine what agencies are involved and what inspections are required. New energy codes and updated accessibility regulations further complicate matters and even conflict with existing regulations. Quorum can help you navigate these waters.

-We do our Homework
Designing to the latest standards and regulations is our priority. Working with local and state agencies at the outset of each project is necessary, and this helps a project address these regulations with the multiple codes that can affect the construction or remodeling of a facility. We can never assume that your next project in a given state or region will be exactly like the last one.

“Cookie-cutter” design is not what we are about. We feel each building and each client deserves the individual attention needed to stand out in their community. Knowledge, experience and good communication are the keys to successful senior projects.
