Through a circuitous path leading from The University of Michigan Architecture School, a couple of intense internships, to licensure and eventually starting Quorum with four great guys in 1992, it has been a whirlwind! Scott has designed numerous buildings in various industries across the United States including medical, institutional, retail, industrial and affordable housing.
To paraphrase one of our local heroes, Will Rogers, “I never met a person I didn’t like” seems to sum up Scott’s personable character. Molded by faith and a great family upbringing, his ability to connect with people has attracted many clients, most of whom become personal friends.
Scott and his wife of more than 30 years have raised two wonderful sons and a plethora of pets, making for a happy home life. Biking, climbing, camping and travel have been hallmarks of the Wilson household, balancing adventure and rejuvenation on breaks from the studio. When home, Scott enjoys remodeling his 1951 bungalow fixer-upper, cheering on his Wolverines, taking in Fort Worth’s museums and working with several charities. One of his favorite things about architecture is seeing many young people within Quorum’s family grow and develop their skills as well as their love for this community.
Words to live by:
“The ultimate goal of good architecture is like tending to a camp site. Always leave the environment better off than you found it!”
– Scott Wilson
