Crowley Fire Station No. 1

Crowley, TX

Quorum designed the City of Crowley’s new, relocated Fire Station No. 1. The new station includes seven apparatus bays, five individual dorm rooms including a Captain’s suite, for three shifts. The open concept day room includes a commercial kitchen, dining area and media lounge. Other amenities include a watch room/command center, exercise room, outdoor patio, EMS storage, turn-out gear lockers, gear extractor and laundry room. Durable bi-fold apparatus bay doors were included for egress to minimize response time and provide an attractive public facade.

Crowley requested that Quorum integrate some training features into the design of the station. To accomplish this goal, the architects included opportunities for ladder and confined-space rescue exercises into the equipment bay mezzanine design. The station was designed to be environmentally friendly and meets IECC energy requirements.
