Midland Animal Services Facility

Midland, TX

The City of Midland commissioned Quorum to design a new state-of-the-art shelter and adoption center to increase capacity and provide a healthier, low-stress environment for the animals. The 18,300 square foot facility enabled Midland Animal Services to better meet the community’s growing needs, establish a volunteer program and provide services such as adoption events, low-cost vaccination clinics and in-house sterilization for adopted animals. The design includes play yards and meet-and-greet rooms to promote hands-on interaction with the animals and an education/training room that can be used for hosting community events that help foster relationships with families considering adoption. Quorum included more than 80 indoor/outdoor dog run kennels and plenty of shaded areas to protect pets from the harsh West Texas sun.
