Seguin Animal Services

Seguin, TX

The City of Seguin enlisted Quorum to design a new animal shelter and adoption facility overlooking a pecan orchard and golf course along a main street. By separating the public parking and entrance from the enclosed sally port and back-of house functions, this design provides for efficient and safe intake and processing with separate rooms for adoptable, stray/impound, quarantine and isolation of both dogs and cats.

Each room is washed in natural daylight and provided with a unique HVAC system that provides numerous air exchanges to control and reduce airborne viruses and reduce odors.

Additionally, the design and layout of the facility provides a much more efficient cleaning operation than the city had in its old shelter. In addition to training and meetings for staff, the conference and training room is used for educating community groups and new pet owners on the care of their pets.

"After interviewing numerous firms, we decided to go with Quorum because of their compassion for animals and the strength of their overall team. After working with them, it was apparent that we made the right choice. Their expertise and knowledge are going to provide us with an outstanding facility."
