Seguin Animal Services Center

Seguin, TX

This concept design integrates a new shelter and adoption facility overlooking a pecan orchard and golf course along a main street in Seguin. By separating the public parking and entrance from the enclosed sallyport and back-of house functions, this concept provides an efficient intake and processing flow with separate rooms for adoptable, stray/impound, quarantine, and isolation of both dogs and cats.

Each room is washed in natural daylight and provided with a unique HVAC system that provides numerous air exchanges to control and reduce airborne viruses as well as aide in reducing odors.

Additionally, the design and layout of the facility provides a much more efficient cleaning operation than the city is accustomed to. The meeting and training room is used not only for training but also educating small community groups, scouts,
and children, as well as the new pet owners, on care of their pets.

"After interviewing numerous firms, we decided to go with Quorum because of their compassion for animals and the strength of their overall team. After working with them, it was apparent that we made the right choice. Their expertise and knowledge are going to provide us with an outstanding facility."
-Wade G. Goolsby, City of Seguin
